System security involves the design and testing of Operating Systems, computer hardware and software, communication via networks and the internet etc. with the aim of being able to verify that a system is suitably secure for its purpose.
This course focuses on the theoretical and practical applications of information and digital security across a range of subjects: operating systems security such as file and data protection, systems architecture, cryptography and its secure applications, and network and telecommunications security. It presents a comprehensive review of security analysis of computer networks. And you will learn about key concepts and methodologies utilized in this field to be able to identify fundamental security objectives and describe security analysis approaches.
The learner should be familiar with the basics of host discovery, data archives gathering, and analysis.
